Big eater? Or Chef Taufiq?
Resepi Kek Chiffon Keju [baked in a rice cooker]
Last night (or was it the day before?) I had a severe attack of Blimey!-I'm-craving-for-a-cheesecake. And not just any cheesecake. A lovely, yummy, smooth, soft, and deliciousss baked cheesecake.
Now, without a reliable and dependable oven in the house, I had my doubts in using my multi-function rice cooker. A few months back I had a disastrous misadventure of baking a cheesecake (bain-marie style) with my doorless-oven. The result? As you would expect. A top-and-bottom-baked cake with uncooked batter in the middle. Huhu... Goes to show, a doorless-oven is not a good thing to use when baking a soufle kind of cake.
I digress.
Anyhow, as my stomache was far more important than my mind or baking skills, I stood firm and quite easily (very suprising), managed to whip up a yummy baked cheesecake. (Hubby was snoring away peacefully with Taufiq sprawling asleep in his arm at that time).
The result? I'm now the proud owner of an 8.5" baked cheesecake, topped with a drizzle of melted chocolate. Muahahaha... (sengal mak Taufiq). The latest I baked (10 April) I added blueberry filling as topping. Yummy... Sedap gak.
The top wasn't too smooth as I didn't smooth it out before baking (duuuuuh) but the important thing was Hubby gave it a Thumb's Up (which is a VERY Sacred Sign that I got his approval). I'm definitely be making this again.
I dunno what's up with me but it's been a couple of weeks I've been crazy over cheese, cheese, and yet more CHEESE. Must be mad. Or worse (or better, depends on how you look at it) ngidam. Hahaha...
Here's the recipe. But be warned that mine came out a bit dense because I used my rice cooker. If you're using an oven and a chiffon pan, it'll (hopefully) turn out ok. Hehe...
Kek Chiffon Keju (matgebu@tiffinbiru.blogspot)
Bahan:
60ml susu cair
40g cream cheese (I used 50g)
25g mentega
1/2 st esen vanila
65g tepung gandum (I used 1/2C tepung kek)
4 kuning telur
4 putih telur
100g gula halus
secubit garam halus (I eliminated)
1/4st cream of tartar
Cara:
- Satukan cream cheese, susu cair, dan mentega dalam bekas tahan panas, cairkan kaedah double-boiler hingga sebati dan bersatu. Alihkan dan biar sejuk sikit.
- Masukkan tepung, gaul rata. Tambah kuning telur dan esen vanila, kacau sebati. Ketepikan sebentar.
- Putar putih telur hingga berbuih. Masukkan gula halus sedikit demi sedikit hingga habis, tambah garam halus dan cream of tartar. Putar hingga kental.
- Gaulkan No.3 ke dalam No.2 secara kaup balik hingga rata. Tuangkan dalam tin chiffon 23cm (tak perlu digris).
- Bakar dalam oven yang telah dipanaskan terlebih dahulu, 175C, selama 35-40 min. Bila dah masak, keluarkan dan terbalikkan tin. Biarkan hingga sejuk. (ku bakar dalam rice cooker yang ada function 'Cake')
- Sisip tepi tin dan dasarnya, potong dan hidangkan.
N/B: Kek akan mengecut sikit bila sejuk. Sebabnya? Ia jenis chiffon dan sebaiknya guna loyang chiffon.

Resepi Pizza & Mushroom Soup (Ala-ala) Pizza Hut Style
Terhengen nak buat apple pie. Tapi tak tahu la bila sebab lom cari resipi apple pie filling. But don't worrit, it's in the process ;)
Anyway, malam tadi buat supper simple jak. Mushroom soup ala-ala Pizza Hut, makan dengan pizza buatan sendiri dan french bread.
Resipi Mushroom Soup (minami@myresipi.com)
1 keping dada ayam
1.5liter air
500ml susu segar (ku guna susu tepung + air je)
1 ketul kiub ayam
1/4C cendawan butang -hiris kecil-kecil
garam
1C tepung gandum + air
Cara:
- Potong ayam kecil-kecil (ku malas potong, just nak amik air rebusan ayam je).
- Masukkan ayam dan air dalam periuk. Rebus hingga masak.
- Keluarkan ayam. Masukkan susu dan kiub ayam. Masak atas api perlahan.
- Masukkan mushroom. Masak dalam 5-10 min hingga tukar warna dan tambah pekat.
- Masukkan campuran tepung gandum dan kacau hingga pekat.
- Tambah garam secukup rasa.
- (Tambahan ku) Amik sikit mushroom soup, blend kan hingga halus. Masukkan kembali ke dalam periuk. Ni nak bagi pekatkan lagi kuah biar lagi rasa mushroom dia.
- Siap dihidang (ku tambah sedikit daun parsley kering).
Pizza tu uat sedang-sedang, dapat banyak dalam 4, 5 keping. (Sila abaikan kekurangan-kegebuan-kekeringan-sedikit pizza zaman ini sebab masak guna oven tak berpintu :P)
2st @ 20g yis segera (ku guna ragi roti)
1/2st @ 3g garam
2sb @ 10g minyak
1st @ 10g gula
1/2C air suam untuk menguli
Sos Pizza: (mamafami FP)
1 slice meat patty/daging burger (tambahan ku) - shredded
1/2 large onion - finely chopped
1 large tomato -chopped
1 tsp garlic paste (I didn't use this, just used chopped garlic)
1tb tomato sauce
pinch of sugar (didn't use)
salt to taste
1/4tsp paprika (I used chillie powder)
oil
Cara sos pizza:
- Heat oil, add garlic paste.
- Add onione, fry till fragrant.
- Add shredded meat patty, fry till cooked.
- Add tomatoes, stir well.
- Add tomato sauce, salt and paprika.
- Cook till thick.
Sausages - sliced
onion rings
Mozzarella cheese -grated
Parmesan cheese -grated
Cheddar cheese -grated
Cara:
- Campur tepung, yis, garam, gula dan minyak dalam mangkuk besar. Gaul rata. Masukkan air suam sedikit demi sedikit dan uli jadi doh lembut dan tak lekat di tangan.
- Masukkan doh dalam bekas yang disapu sedikit minyak/majerin. Tutup bekas dengan cling foil.
- Letakkan mangkuk di tempat yang panas selama 60 min hingga naik sekali ganda (ku letak dalam oven yang suhu hangat-hangat je. Jangan terlampau panas dah la :p )
- Minyakkan acuan pizza @ loyang. Canai doh setebal 2cm (ku buat nipis lagi, bagi rangup). Masukkan doh dalam loyang hingga menutupi loyang.
- Biarkan 10 min hingga kembang sikit.
- Cucuk dengan garfu agar tidak mengembang bila bakar.
- Sapukan sos pizza dan taburkan 1/3 cheese.
- Bakar sekejap 200C, 5-10 min bagi masak (ni step aku sendiri sebab oven takde pintu jadi masak apa-apa kena pre-made dulu)
- Taburkan topping dan taburkan cheese selebihnya di atasnya.
- Bakar 200C, 25-30min.
Dohnya lembut, bila cheese cair rasa ummmph... Boleh simpan dalam fridge 2-3 hari, nak makan panaskan balik je :P Tujuan letak cheese pada layer pertama tak kasi topping atasnya terjatuh masa makan. Rasanya kalau pakai bread maker mesti lagi lembut dan gebus. Tapi uli pun ok je.
